Friends are like flowers
Carefully picked along life's way
Lasting friendship, through the years
Not for just a day.
Friends are like precious jewels
selected o'er the years
of shared laughter, joy and tears
Sapphires, emeralds,
a diamond in the rough...to say.
Each uniquue...in their own special way.
A friend who accepts you...as you are.
Whether a pauper, or reaching for a star.
Not by your merits, yesterday or tomorrow,
But today...in your time of sorrow.
One who is there for you,
Loving and caring through thick or thin.
To stand beside you...until the end.
Now, that's what I call.....
A real true friend.

My
Hobbies
I
am a collector of friends, real genuine true friends. In our lifetime,
we make many aquaintances, but only a few friends that we carry in our
"little red wagon" throughout our lives. As we go pulling this
little wagon along life's way, we add new friends .
That
was my inspiration for writing this poem.
